On 5 November 2026, the 17 services on this page priced e-signature three ways: per user, such as DocuSign Standard at £20 a month per user billed annually; per envelope, such as Pactivo at £0.69 + VAT; or one price for the account, such as Signable Essentials at £40 + VAT a month and Pixasign Starter at £19 a month inc VAT. Which suits you depends on how many people send, and how much.
The short answer
- Three shapes of price. Per user (DocuSign, Dropbox Sign, Adobe, Youtrust, PandaDoc, Zoho Sign, Xodo Sign, BoldSign), per envelope (Pactivo, Signable Pay As You Go, Legalesign Pay As You Go) and one price for the account (Signable Essentials, VedaSign, signNow, Encodian Sign, Pixasign).
- Seven of the seventeen showed US dollars to a UK browser. PandaDoc, SignWell, Xodo Sign, BoldSign, signNow, eSignSimple and Encodian Sign. The rest showed pounds.
- Many pounds prices exclude VAT. Adobe’s individual plans and Pixasign include it. Several pages say nothing either way, and we say so where that is the case.
- Annual billing moves the figure a lot. DocuSign Standard is £20 a month per user billed annually and £34 billed monthly. BoldSign Growth is $5 against $15.
How we read the prices
Every figure on this page was read on 5 November 2026, on the vendor’s own pricing page, in a browser connecting from the UK. Where a page has a monthly and an annual toggle, we tried both and give both. Where a page offers a currency switch, we chose pounds. Where it offered none, the price is in the currency the page showed, and we have not converted it.
We sell one of these services, so the rules for this page are simple: each figure links to the page it came from, each VAT basis is the page’s own, and the sums are labelled as ours. We make no claim about which is the best buy. That depends on your senders and your month, and the tables let you work it out.
The price list
One row per service, with its entry paid plan and the plan most small teams would look at. “No VAT statement” means the page did not say whether VAT is included or added when we read it. “Free plan” means a plan you can stay on at no cost, not a trial.

Pixasign’s own figures are on our pricing page. We also looked for Paraph, which one AI answer named as an e-signature service, and could not find a pricing page for an e-signature product of that name, so it is not in the list.

Pactivo, Encodian Sign and the Pay As You Go plans price by volume, not by people, so they are not in this table: count your envelopes and multiply. Yoti publishes a minimum fee only. How to read this
- Envelopes and documents are different units. An envelope can hold several documents sent together. Pixasign counts one PDF sent for signature as one document, however many people sign it and however many pages it has. Before you compare allowances, find out what each vendor counts.
- A yearly allowance is not a monthly one. DocuSign Standard billed annually allows 100 envelopes per user per year, about 8 a month. Signable’s 300 a year averages 25 a month, and its page says the whole allowance is available at the start of the plan.
- Annual billing is a year paid or committed. Compare the full year, not the per-month figure on an annual plan. Adobe’s individual annual plan billed monthly charges a cancellation fee after 14 days, its page says.
- VAT changes the sum for a business that cannot reclaim it. £40 + VAT a month is £48 with VAT at 20%. A price with no VAT statement is a question for the vendor before you budget.
- Dollar prices move with the exchange rate. We have not converted them. Your card provider’s rate and any foreign transaction fee apply.

Where another service fits better
- A handful of documents a year. Signable Pay As You Go is from £2.60 an envelope and Pactivo from £0.69 an envelope + VAT, with no monthly fee on either.
- One person who sends a lot. Dropbox Sign Essentials is 1 user with unlimited signature requests, at £140 billed yearly. Pixasign plans are capped by documents: 50, 200 or 500 a month.
- A sole trader on a free plan. BoldSign’s free plan allows 25 envelopes a month and Zoho Sign’s 5, against Pixasign’s 3 documents.
- Building quotes and proposals inside the tool. PandaDoc builds the document. Pixasign signs a finished PDF.
- Editing PDFs as well as signing them. Adobe Acrobat is a PDF editor with signing included. Pixasign does not edit PDFs.
- Qualified electronic signatures. Signable (Business and Enterprise), DocuSign, Youtrust, Legalesign and Zoho Sign list them on their pricing pages. Pixasign does not provide them.
- Data held in the UK. Signable’s security page says its data stays in the UK, in a London data centre, and VedaSign’s page says UK-only storage. Pixasign stores documents and evidence in the EEA, in Nuremberg, Germany, and card payments are handled by Stripe.
What Pixasign charges
Pixasign is free for 1 user and 3 documents a month, with no card and no time limit. Paid plans have unlimited users: an account starts with room for 200 active people, and we raise that free on request. They differ only in documents: £19 a month inc VAT for 50, £59 inc VAT for 200 and £99 inc VAT for 500. There is no overage charge: at the limit, new sends wait for the 1st of the month or a bigger plan. The people who sign never pay and need no account.
