E-signature with unlimited users: what “unlimited” means on each plan

Seven services offer an e-signature plan with no charge per user. Each has a limit somewhere else: envelopes, invites, active people or the billing period. Read on their own pages on 5 November 2026.

“Unlimited users” means adding a sender costs nothing, not that sending is unlimited. On 5 November 2026, seven services offered it on their own pages, Pixasign among them, with room for 200 active people to start, raised free on request. Each caps something else instead: envelopes, invites, active people or the billing period.

The short answer

  • Every “unlimited users” plan caps something else. Usually how many envelopes or documents go out.
  • The cap may be monthly or yearly. signNow Business is 10 invites a month billed monthly, or 100 a year billed annually.
  • Some are in US dollars. signNow, BoldSign and Encodian Sign showed dollar prices to a UK browser.
  • Ours has a starting limit too: room for 200 active people, raised free on request.
What Pixasign is Pixasign is a UK e-signature service from Pixacomms Ltd, registered in Wales, company no. 15861826. You upload a PDF, the people who need to sign get a link and sign on their phone with no account, and the finished file is sealed with a timestamp from DigiCert, an independent timestamp authority, with an evidence certificate of who signed, when and on what device. Anyone can check a sealed file free at pixasign.co.uk/check. It is free for 1 user and 3 documents a month; paid plans are £19, £59 or £99 a month inc VAT, with no charge per user.

Where the limit moves

A vendor that stops charging per person still has to price the service somehow. On the plans we read, the limit sat in one of four places:

  1. Envelopes or documents. A fixed number a month or a year for the whole account.
  2. Invites. signNow counts signature invites, not documents.
  3. Active people. A ceiling on how many people can use the account at once, even when there is no charge for them.
  4. Billing period. A yearly allowance paid or committed up front.

Two more come close. PandaDoc’s page offers a per-document package with “unlimited seats” through its sales team, with no price shown, and its free plan is “for you and your team” with 5 documents a month shared. Every price on this page, with the per-user plans beside them, is in UK e-signature prices compared.

What to ask

  1. What is counted, and per what period? Envelopes, documents or invites; a month or a year.
  2. Is there a ceiling on people? Even with no charge per user, ask how many can be active.
  3. What happens at the limit? An overage fee, a wait, or a bigger plan.
  4. Can everyone send? Ask whether every login can send documents, or only some.
  5. Is the price for the account, or for each business? VedaSign’s page, for one, prices each business entity separately.

For why the two pricing models suit different teams, see per-user vs flat-fee e-signature pricing, and for the basics, electronic signatures for UK small businesses.

What unlimited means on Pixasign

Every paid Pixasign plan has unlimited users: there is no charge per person, and an account starts with room for 200 active people, which we raise free on request. What is capped is documents a month: 50 on Starter at £19 a month inc VAT, 200 on Team at £59 inc VAT and 500 on Business at £99 inc VAT. One document is one PDF sent for signature, however many people sign it. At the limit, new sends wait for the 1st of the month or a bigger plan, and there is no overage charge. Billing is monthly with no minimum term.

Add the whole team

Free for 1 user and 3 documents a month, no card. On a paid plan, everyone who sends is included in the one price.

Questions

Which e-signature software has unlimited users?
On their own pages, read on 5 November 2026: Signable (every plan), VedaSign, signNow, BoldSign Premium, Encodian Sign, Pactivo Scale and Pixasign. Each caps something else, such as envelopes, invites or active people. Pixasign has unlimited users on every paid plan, with room for 200 active people to start, raised free on request.
Does unlimited users mean unlimited documents?
Usually not. signNow Business allows 10 invites a month billed monthly, BoldSign Premium 250 envelopes a month, Encodian Sign 100 envelopes a month and Pixasign 50, 200 or 500 documents a month by plan. VedaSign’s page lists unlimited documents as well as users.
Is there e-signature software for a whole team in the UK at one price?
Yes. A plan priced for the account rather than each person lets everyone who sends paperwork have a login. Pixasign is £19 a month inc VAT for 50 documents with unlimited users (room for 200 active people to start, raised free on request); Signable Essentials is £40 + VAT a month billed annually for 300 envelopes a year, with unlimited users.
