Comparison pages written by one of the two products are easy to distrust. So everything below about PandaDoc was read on PandaDoc’s own pages on 5 November 2026, from a UK connection, with the page’s monthly and annual toggle tried, and each figure names the page it came from. Where their pages do not say, we do not guess.
The short version
The two do different jobs. PandaDoc is a document builder with signing built in: you make the proposal or quote inside it, with pricing tables, a product catalogue and payment collection on its Business plan, and you pay for each person who has a seat. Pixasign does one job: it sends a finished PDF for signature, seals the signed file with a DigiCert timestamp, and issues an evidence certificate, for one monthly price however many people in the firm send.
If your quotes already come out of accounting, quoting or job software as a PDF, the question is whether you need a second place to build them. If you want to build them in the signing tool, that is what PandaDoc is for.
Where PandaDoc is the better fit
- You want to build proposals and quotes in the tool. PandaDoc’s pricing page lists a drag and drop document editor on Starter and above, and pricing tables, a product catalogue and payment collection on Business. Pixasign makes no documents: you upload a finished PDF, or a photo of a paper document.
- Your sales team works from a CRM. The same page lists CRM integrations on Business, with Salesforce as a paid add-on.
- You want a free plan for more than one person. PandaDoc’s Free plan is described as “for you and your team”, with 5 documents a month as a shared limit. The Pixasign Free plan is 1 user and 3 documents a month.
- One person sends a lot. PandaDoc lists unlimited documents created in its app on Starter and Business. Pixasign plans are 50, 200 or 500 documents a month.
- You need a named signature level or identity checks. PandaDoc lists Qualified Electronic Signatures on Business and Enterprise, on annual plans only, and SMS and knowledge-based identity verification on Business. Pixasign does not provide qualified signatures.
- You want chat support or an app. PandaDoc lists 24/7 chat support and a mobile app on every plan. Pixasign questions are answered by email, by a person, at hello@pixasign.co.uk.
Where Pixasign is the better fit
- Several people send now and then. PandaDoc’s Starter and Business plans are priced per seat. Pixasign has no charge per user: an account starts with room for 200 active people, raised free on request.
- You would rather pay in pounds, monthly, with VAT included. Every Pixasign plan is billed monthly at the advertised price, with no minimum term, and £19, £59 and £99 a month inc VAT is the total charged. PandaDoc’s page shows US dollars, excluding any applicable taxes, and its lower figures are the annually billed rate.
- The document is already made. Upload the PDF, put the signature boxes where each person signs, and send it. Nothing to rebuild in a template first.
- You want the other side to be able to check it. Every finished document is sealed with an independent timestamp from DigiCert that covers the whole file, and anyone can check it free at pixasign.co.uk/check, with no account: it says whether Pixasign sealed a file and whether it has changed since.

PandaDoc figures from pandadoc.com/pricing, read 5 November 2026 from a UK connection, with its Monthly and Annually toggle tried. The page showed US dollars only, with no pound or UK version in its language menu, and says “Prices exclude any applicable taxes.” Pixasign prices are in pounds and include VAT. Unlimited users on every paid Pixasign plan means no charge per user: an account starts with room for 200 active people, raised free on request.
The rows are harder to line up than they look. PandaDoc’s page says documents created through its API, automations, bulk send and web forms draw on Usage Credits, a separate allowance with its own overage, and it offers a per-document package with unlimited seats through its sales team, with no price published. Pixasign counts one PDF sent for signature as one document, however many of its up to 20 people sign it, and at the monthly limit new sends wait for the 1st or a bigger plan, with no overage charge.
So, in plain arithmetic on the published figures: three people with seats on PandaDoc Starter is $57 a month billed annually, $684 a year, or $105 a month billed monthly, before any tax. On Pixasign the same three share one account: Starter at £19 a month inc VAT for 50 documents a month, or Team at £59 a month inc VAT for 200. The plans include different things and the currencies differ, so price your own month on both pages rather than ours.

Technical details
Pixasign’s seal is a PAdES document timestamp, the standard set out in ETSI EN 319 142: an RFC 3161 timestamp issued by DigiCert over the whole file, signed with DigiCert’s RSA-4096 key and SHA-384, with long-term validation (LTV) data embedded in the PDF. The time of each earlier step is recorded by our server on the evidence certificate, whose fingerprints are SHA-256 hashes.
Where each one runs
Pixasign is made by Pixacomms Ltd, a UK company registered in Wales (company no. 15861826), with its registered office in Cardiff. The application runs on Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany, and backups sit in Reykjavík, Iceland, both in the EEA. Card payments are handled by Stripe. The detail is on our security page.
PandaDoc’s pricing page lists “Data residency in US or EU” on its Enterprise plan, and says customer data is stored in a SOC, FISMA and PCI DSS Level 1 compliant cloud. The page does not say where data on the other plans sits, so if your buyers or your data protection officer need to know, ask PandaDoc rather than assume.

- Is PandaDoc priced in pounds?
- Not on its pricing page. Read from a UK connection on 5 November 2026, PandaDoc's page showed US dollars only and said its prices exclude any applicable taxes. Starter was $19 a seat a month billed annually, or $35 billed monthly. Pixasign's prices are in pounds and include VAT: £19, £59 or £99 a month inc VAT.
- Can Pixasign build a proposal or a quote?
- No. Pixasign signs and seals a document you have already made: upload a PDF, or a photo of a paper document, put the signature boxes where each person signs, and send it. If you want to build proposals with pricing tables and payment collection inside the tool, PandaDoc's pricing page lists those on its Business plan.
- What would three people pay on each?
- On PandaDoc Starter, three seats are $57 a month billed annually, $684 a year, or $105 a month billed monthly, in US dollars before any tax, as read on 5 November 2026. On Pixasign the three share one account: Starter is £19 a month inc VAT for 50 documents a month, and Team is £59 a month inc VAT for 200. The plans include different things, so price your own month on both pages.
- What happens to my documents if I stop paying Pixasign?
- Nothing is deleted. Your account moves to the Free plan, so you can still view, download and check everything already signed, and send up to 3 documents a month. Anything already out for signature still completes, and sealed PDFs you have downloaded keep their seal and timestamp, because both are embedded in the PDF itself.
